Explore ways to begin using black ink with your encaustic art. A project to inspire you explore yourself! Stamps, pens, markers, iron, stylus, hotplate. Lots of ideas to offer opportunities for creative discover & enjoyment.



The project is one 40 minute video, lots of key points in the Study Focus and a full Inspiration Gallery.

Learn how to:
  • Use clear stamps
  • Enhance stamped imagery with encaustic art wax colours
  • Develop ink stamped images with pens and markers
  • Create aperture cards
  • Evolve these simple beginnings into more expansive artwork

This project is a first for Michael, even after 35 years of working in the encaustic genre. He lives in Wales, enjoys nature and beauty. Creativity is in his blood and he lives as if he is creating his own future. And what if we are creating our own futures? How are we doing so far? Perhaps he thinks you will enjoy exploring through the use of black ink with encaustic art.
